Still Crazy After All These Years…

It's about TIME, isn't it? And timing. Who said there's a perfect order for doing these things? Like one of my favorite characters (Burnside) from Wanderlust Essentials said, "Chronological order is overrated."

After decades of marriage, my partner and I are finally taking that next step—and getting engaged. And by that, I mean we're marking a milestone anniversary with a ring. Who knows what might happen next. I could end up going to prom!

Now that we're finally doing this, I've found that I'm paralyzed by ring choices. What if I don't get it right?

Who knew that picking a small circle of metal could be more complicated than crafting an entire magical world with interconnected plot lines and character arcs?

I've spent three weeks now scrolling through endless options. Vintage? Modern? Something that looks like it could summon a small woodland creature with a twist of the wrist? (That last one is tempting, not gonna lie.)

Last night I found myself staring at a ring with a set of stones so unique the website described it as "conversation starting." Is that a compliment or a warning? Do I really want strangers examining my hand and saying "Well THAT'S an interesting choice"? Decision paralysis is real, folks.
